John Myhre Named Oscar Production Designer
Beverly Hillsides, CA Academy Award-winning production designer John Myhre will design the 84th Oscars, telecast producers John Grazer and Don Mischer introduced today. This is the very first time Myhre has offered as production designer for that Academy awards. “John is really a prolific production designer, that has produced probably the most intriguing sets that people’ve seen,” stated Grazer and Mischer. “His motion picture perspective is a great contribution to the team dynamic and also the reveal.” Myhre won Oscars within the Art Direction category in 2002 for “Chicago” as well as in 2005 for “Memoirs of the Geisha.” He's three more Oscar nominations for his focus on “Elizabeth” (1998), “Dreamgirls” (2006) and “Nine” (2009). Myhre’s other production design credits include “Pirates from the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” “Wanted,” “Ali” and “X-Males.” Oscars for outstanding film accomplishments of 2011 will be provided on Sunday, Feb 26, 2012, in the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and public live and eat the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation will also be public reside in a lot more than 200 nations worldwide.
